Architizer A+Awards.Concert Hall wins
In 2022 the Andermatt Concert Hall won the renowned Architizer competition in the category “Cultural: Hall / Theater”. It also received the Civic Trust Award and the Special Award for Reuse and Adaptation.
Minergie rating. Outstanding results
For the second time in a row, the village of Andermatt has stepped onto the podium with the Minergie rating. After placing third in 2020 Andermatt took the crown in 2022 in the category “Medium-size municipalities”. This award is largely attributable to Andermatt Swiss Alps and its consistent building construction in line with the Minergie standard. As a result, there are now 42 Minergie buildings in Andermatt, three of which meet the Minergie-P standard.
Minergie is a Swiss construction standard for new and upgraded buildings. The brand is mutually supported by industry, the cantons and the federal government and is protected against misuse. Minergie buildings are characterised by very low energy needs and a share of renewable energy that is as high as possible. In addition, the certificate provides for quality assurance in the design, construction and operating phase.
The Minergie rating is a competition for municipalities that is held every two years. For scoring, Minergie awards points for the following criteria: number of certificates new construction, upgrading and the difficult-to-achieve special certificates Minergie-A, Minergie-P and Minergie-ECO. Also taken into consideration is the total certified space per resident. Moreover, the commitment of the municipalities is awarded points. This gives rise to a national comparison of all localities in terms of energy-efficient construction.
World Golf Awards.Switzerland's best golf course
The Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course has been named Switzerland’s Best Golf Course by World Golf Awards five times ( 2016 , 2017 , 2018 , 2020 and 2023 ). In addition, at the Swiss Golf Awards 2018 , golfers in Switzerland voted the Andermatt Golf Course number one in the category “Best 18-hole course in Switzerland”.
Swisstainable. Engaged in the long term
Andermatt Swiss Alps is participating in the Swisstainable programme by Switzerland Tourism. Thereby we are committing ourselves to sustainable corporate governance and continual enhancement in terms of sustainability. All of our Group’s companies achieved Level II (engaged), and the Andermatt Golf Course even Level III (leading).
Certified.GEO Certificate
The Andermatt Golf Course meets or exceeds all criteria of the World Golf Environmental Organization (GEO) in the areas of nature conservation, resources management and social integration.

The Chedi Andermatt has received numerous awards: as a luxury class hotel, for the most exclusive spa area, for the wine list or Michelin stars for the chef twins at The Japanese. All the awards are listed here.
