Sustainability is a central component of our corporate strategy. In this key position, you will play a leading role in the further development and implementation of our ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategy in the destination. As ESG Senior Manager, you will report directly to the CEO of the destination and liaise functionally with the Group Head of ESG of Orascom Development Holding (ODH) and the Chairwoman of the Andermatt Responsible Board. You will drive sustainable initiatives, design effective ESG programmes and ensure their successful implementation.

Your contribution to our success
- Coordination of all sustainability-related tasks and initiatives for Andermatt Swiss Alps (ASA) Group, in collaboration with Andermatt Sedrun Sport AG (ASS) and the destination of Andermatt
- Responsibility for the delivery towards the ESG strategy of the company and for all related ESG activities within ASA Group, including responsibility for the measurement of the CO2 footprint of ASA Group
- Approach ESG with a strategic manner and develop action plans including proposed capital allocation
- Elaboration of the communications strategy with a focus on ESG topics such as communication via media work, social media channels, reports in collaboration with strategic communications on ASA Group level and in alignment with ODH corporate communications
- Support of the board of directors, the executive management and operating business units as well as corporate functions including compliance when launching and implementing sustainability measures and engaging employees and partners via networking and training
- Operational lead of the Andermatt Responsible Board, preparation of regular Board meetings and management of the Andermatt Responsible brand in collaboration with the Chair of the Andermatt Responsible Board and the CEO
- Conception and preparation of a yearly progress report based on GRI standards, including online publication and accompanying communication measures
- Representation and participation at public events and in expert committees, e.g. the expert committee for ecology on the Andermatt Golf course as representative for Andermatt Responsible, and in collaboration with universities
- Shared responsibility with Legal and HR for various compliance instruments such as the code of conduct, whistleblowing, supply chain monitoring, etc.
- Conceptualization and implementation of internal and external events such as national future day, employee sports events, clean-up days, etc.
- Collaboration in Orascom-groupwide strategic ESG projects and acting as ESG partner for Orascom Development Holding and Orascom Hotels Management
What you bring in
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Additional certifications (e.g., CFA ESG, GRI Certified Sustainability Professional) are a plus
- Serveral years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility
- Strong understanding of global ESG frameworks, regulations, and best practices
- Experience in managing ESG reporting, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent written and spoken German and English (C1/C2) are an absolute must
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in ESG data analysis and reporting tools
- Ability to work cross-functionally and drive change in a complex organization
- Work location: 2 days per week in Andermatt; homeoffice possible on the remaining days

Who we are
Andermatt Swiss Alps, located in Andermatt, plans, builds and develops the year-round destination of Andermatt, with apartment buildings, hotels and villas in Andermatt Reuss. The Andermatt Swiss Alps Group also owns the hotels The Chedi Andermatt and Radisson Blu Reussen, an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course and the Andermatt Concert Hall. A close partnership is in place with Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG and its majority shareholder Vail Resorts, Inc.
