Stefan Kern

Chief Communications Officer

Following positions in the commercial and tourism area, Stefan Kern has worked in communications since 1990, first as a journalist at the daily newspaper Die Ostschweiz and for the news agency SDA, then at a PR agency. He then led several national voting campaigns for the Swiss trade association Economiesuisse and thereafter developed the mobile communications forum. He worked as Head of Corporate Communications for Raiffeisen Switzerland, the Arbonia Group, and the mobile communications group Sunrise, where he also assisted on the IPO. From 2016 to 2023, Stefan Kern was Head of Communications at Andermatt Swiss Alps, including the subsidiary SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun. Since 2023, he has been Chief of Corporate Communication at Andermatt Swiss Alps. He has an Executive Master of Science in Communications Management from the University of Lugano and is a licensed PR consultant.  

In his free time, he enjoys spending time in the mountains – climbing in the summer, and on ski tours and as a cross-country skiing instructor.
